Fraser Coast

Stretching up along Hervey Bay and out to Fraser Island, the Fraser Coast Region is a great Queensland marvel. The only place in the world where a rainforest grows from a sand base, Fraser Island is a remarkable destination. Drive up to beach to reach the Champagne Rock Pools or drive towards the middle of the island to see the clear freshwater Lake McKenzie. Make sure you leave no food or garbage behind as some local dingos may think you’re getting a little too friendly! When you’re finished head back toward the mainland to Hervey Bay and experience some world class humpback whale watching. End a day with a stop into any small town along the Burrum Coast for some fantastic seafood and a back in time charm.
